I’m Balázs Varga, an existentialist and subjective documentary photographer with a degree in sociology.

In my projects, I investigate the mystical world of dreams and the subconscious, as well as the social phenomena of the human environment (villages, cities).
I started photographing in 2007, and soon after begin to educate myself through practice, the internet, photobooks and workshops.
Since 2014 I'm working on my own projects. The same year I was founding member of the Norma collective, the first street photography collective in Budapest.
From 2017 I'm a member of RANDOM contemporary photography gallery, and participating in exhibitions.
2022 was the year of my first solo exhibition in Budapest with a project called "Liminality".
